Tejas fighters for Phillipines

Phillipines airforce is looking for the Indian fighter Tejas Mk1 to increase its fighter jets fleet.Phillipines is trying to make a deal of 12 fighter jets for its airforce.Initially they were targeting western fighter jets like F-16, Gripen,but the main issue is their cost,which is very high.Now comparing to Tejas Mk1,the western fighter jets cost is almost double.Also the advanced features of Tejas Mk1 puts it into 4th generation aircraft with an edge as compared to others.So the decision to buy Tejas Mk1 will cut the cost to half,and this will be very beneficial for Phillipines.
